Challenge U Leadership programs are a customized combination of experiential formats, activities and exercises that has a group or individual move to their next level of leadership. The first step in designing the best program for you or your team is to set up a meeting or a call to discuss your ideal outcomes. Once Challenge U has an idea of the goals or outcomes you are seeking and any obstacles or challenges that play into the equation, we will present a proposal of options and costs to support in attaining those outcomes.
Please contact us to set up a call to discuss how we can partner to open new and effective doors to leadership with you or your company.

Distinctions of a
Manager – Boss – Leader
Manager
- Responsible for process.
- Establishes and attains objectives.
- Optimizes use of time, money, material, energy and human resource.
- Plans – organizes – directs– coordinates – controls.
Boss (Commander)
- Position of legal authority.
- Formal head of a unit.
- Appointed through a system.
Leader.
- One who influences others to take effective action.
An understanding of these distinctions allows one to see that being a manager and/or a boss does not necessarily mean one will be an effective leader. And we need to recognize that one can be a leader without holding a management position of having the title of “boss”.
“[Boss/command] normally includes a requirement for exercising leadership, but its nature depends on the ability, behavior, or mission of the individual commander [boss]. A captain may be designated a company commander; however, he/she must still effectively influence others to be called a leader.”
