PARENTING THROUGH
CONNECTION
On October 27 and 28, join Challenge U for the Parenting Through Connection, an innovative workshop designed to provide parents with key strategies for knowing themselves and relating to their children on a deeper level. This deep connection is the foundation of a loving, healthy relationship.
The content of this workshop offers strategies for parenting to strengthen the child’s propensity to live loving, responsible, resilient, meaningful lives. We learn concepts developed by Dr. Daniel J. Siegel and Dr. Tina Payne Bryson, authors of The Whole-Brain Child. The horses will teach us principles of connection through congruency and clarity.

Why Horses?
Horses are social creatures that readily and honestly respond to the challenges inherent in forming and sustaining relationships. As animals that are preyed upon in nature, they have also retained a highly developed ability to sense changes in the stance and arousal levels of other herd members, an ability they easily transfer to interaction with human beings. Horses see through the slightest incongruities of emotion and intention, yet they are exceedingly patient and forgiving.
In this workshop, you can expect the following outcomes:
-
An understanding the child brain development and how that relates to yourself and your child;
-
Learning how to use 12 specific strategies for engaging the child in challenging situations;
-
Learning how to establish and utilize connection for effective growth and development.
