THE EMPOWERED PARTNERSHIP
Returning to Challenge U's schedule as a full day workshop on June 10th, The Empowered Partnership helps couples, co workers, families and friends explore and develop the components of effective and fulfilling relationships. It is designed to help people build or increase relationship skills that support communication, listening and connection in a healthy and proactive way.
Using a variety of our teaching horses, communication tools and the expertise of the Challenge U facilitators, Andi Burgis and Cathy Huddleston, you and your partner are offered an experience to support your authentic voices being the primary voices of the relationship.
Horses model the ability to bring their needs to the relationship in a healthy way by focusing on the herd as a whole, not just their own well being. Horses embody “present experience”, clear boundary setting, and “whole body” communication. The horses are masters at connection, communication and acceptance. You will get to experience the horses as teachers in an non judgmental and supportive environment.
Horses see through the slightest incongruities of emotion and intention, yet they are exceedingly patient and forgiving. Through a series of specially designed activities, participants deepen awareness of how emotional congruence, clarity of intent and connection is necessary for effective communication, personal leadership, self management and balance.
Why do we use horses as co facilitators to this level of personal growth? It is because they naturally and instinctually model effective relationship and communication skills that can help us and our human relationships.
With our new, beautiful learning center in Liberty, Missouri, as our backdrop, we invite you to partner with Challenge U in making 2017 your best year ever!
After spending the day at the Challenge U Ranch, you can expect the following outcomes:
Discover congruence and the importance of it for a trusting, healthy relationship;
Understand personal boundaries and how to effectively set them without judgment;
Learn how to listen and hear what’s being said at a non-verbal level;
Understand and experience receiving feedback from a neutral space;
Discover and recognize energy fields as a primary tool for effective communication.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
Working with the horses was such a unique and vivid experience of connection. It was incredible to receive feedback that was so tangible from a majestic creature like that. Every couple should get to experience what Lisa and I did this weekend. We had an amazing weekend and are grateful.
